swimming courses
Beginner
A fun and safe introduction to the water for children aged 4yrs and over who
want to learn to swim. Although for the timid and terrified it may be beneficial
to utilise Flubble for
a while, the course provides children with confidence to progress toward swimming
independently without the need for additional floatation devices.
Beginner Plus
The Beginner Plus course is ideal for
those who, having attended the Beginners course, and are now able to confidently
swim 5m on their front.
Back Stroke
Can your child confidently swim 10m on their front AND back, are they happy
to have their face in the water, and are they over 5yrs old and can the jump
in safely and swim back to the side? If they can do all this, then Back stroke
is probably going to offer them a worthwhile challenge.
Breast Stroke or Front Crawl
Can your child confidently swim 25m on their front, are they happy to have
their face in the water, and are they over 5yrs old?
If all the above can
be met, these courses; while still maintaining a fun and safe learning environment,
will teach the child to begin mastering these popular swimming strokes.

Splashtastic swimming courses last 5 days and are limited to a class size of 8 pupils.
All our swimming teachers are:
- ASA Qualified
- Hold a current Life Saving Qualification
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Regularly test and update their skills
Each class is taught by two teachers, and because we believe they should also get wet, our swimming
tutors are in the water with the children. Why? In the same way that learning French in
England is certainly possible, if you learn it in France however, progress is often faster, more
sociable, and ultimately far more enjoyable.
Our 4:1 ratio ensures each child receives individual tuition, while also allowing
time for safe and fun interaction with the other children in their course group.
Because it acts as a distraction for the child, parents are not permitted to observe lessons, and
are advised not to take the child swimming before or during the course. However, on the last course
day, parents are invited pool-side to observe your child's progress.
