| Swimming lessons are important
Swimming lessons are, in our
opinion, the greatest gift a parent can give to their children. Swimming is the only health promoting fun activity which also provides a child with the tools and skills to
save their own life.
At Splashtastic, safety is paramount. All children are taught a healthy respect for the
water and its potential dangers, and in a professional but gentle and calm manner, all are encouraged to quickly achieve the Preliminary
Safety Award standard.
To help incentivise the children, we follow the ASA Award Scheme, and as appropriate, badges are
awarded at the end of each full term. 'All' our swimming teachers are ASA qualified and hold a
current life saving qualification, a current first aid certificate, and regularly test and update
their skills.
Fees are payable by cash or cheque in advance of each term. If
required, we can also accommodate half-term payments. We are unable
to offer refunds for sickness or holiday absences. |

Our senior swimming teacher and proprietor is Alexis Meechan.
Alexis has over
seventeen years experience of teaching children to swim.
All swimming lessons are pupil centred and taught with
enthusiastic dedication. Because we believe the instructor should also get
wet, our swim lessons always involve the tutor and pupil working together in the pool!
We are
extremely proud of our teaching methods, our experienced team of instructors are second to none, and the results
obtained speak for themselves.
Although the wearing of goggles is not encouraged, once the child can achieve a distance of 50 metres,
they may be permitted. Where appropriate, teachers may occasionally recommend goggle use. |
